We have 10 core values that help us answer the 'why?' question about our identity. Our mission is fixed according to the Bible. Jesus gave us the mission we are called to in Matthew 28:19-20. This is called the Great Commission.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all things which I have commanded you; and I will be with you always, even to the ends of the earth.
Our core values, then, do not tell what we're here to do, but why we are compelled to do it. They shape the attitude that we approach ministry with.
1. At Greenlee, Jesus leads the way.
2. The Gospel changes lives, and we are committed to sharing it with the world.
3. The Bible is our authority for faith in practice.
4. We live by faith. We will pray big, dream big, and believe that God is faithful.
5. We live to glorify God. Only he is worthy of our worship and praise.
6. We give cheerfully and generously, honoring God with our money, our stories, and our service.
7. People matter to God, therefore they matter to us.
8. We believe that you can't do life alone, and we are committed to real relationships that help people grow.
9. We love our community, and we will do whatever it takes to reach McDowell County for God's glory.
10. Because our God is great, we are convinced that the best is yet to come!
